Chris Vince Speaks on Affordable Housing

Chris Vince was first to be invited to speak on the BBC about the development at Greater Beaulieu Park, Chelmsford.

My big concern at Greater Beaulieu Park is not necessarily the size of the development but the lack of affordable housing.

What People in Chelmsford need family homes they can afford.

Any new development must have at least 35% affordable as a minimum. The City Councils own guidelines are not being enforced on developers, only 27% on this development. 288 families are missing out.

The People of Chelmsford need Affordable Housing for families needing to get on the housing ladder.

Developments at Chelmsford Cricket ground 400 flats, a massive commercial venture and only has 12% of affordable homes. Locals are being priced out of their local opportunities, forcing generation to seek a home further afield.
